Activating Your License
Purchase and activate your Pro or Team license.
Purchasing a license
You can purchase a QuickContract Pro license from the pricing page on our website. After completing payment, you will receive a license key via email. This key is tied to your purchase and is used to activate QuickContract on your machine.
The Pro license is a one-time payment of $49. There are no recurring charges, and the license does not expire.
Activating your license
Open Settings
Launch QuickContract and go to Settings by clicking the gear icon in the bottom-left of the sidebar, or press Cmd + ,.
Navigate to the License section
Scroll to the License section in Settings. You will see your current plan status (Free) and a field to enter a license key.
Paste your license key
Paste the license key you received via email into the key field. The key is a long alphanumeric string.
Click Activate
Click Activate. QuickContract verifies the key and activates your Pro license on the current machine. This requires an internet connection for the one-time verification.
Confirmation
Once activated, the Settings page shows your plan as Pro and all AI features are unlocked immediately. You do not need to restart the app.
Team license activation
Team licenses work differently. The workspace owner sets up the Team plan through the workspace billing settings, and each member's Pro features are activated automatically when they join the shared workspace. Individual team members do not need to enter a separate license key.
Troubleshooting activation
- "Invalid license key" — double-check that you pasted the full key with no extra spaces. The key is case-sensitive.
- "Device limit reached" — your Pro license supports up to 3 machines. If you have already activated on 3 devices, deactivate one first. See Managing Devices.
- "Network error" — activation requires an internet connection for the initial verification. Once activated, the license works offline.
- Did not receive your key? — check your spam folder. If the key is still missing, contact support from the website.
After the initial activation, your license is stored locally and does not require periodic online verification. You can use QuickContract offline indefinitely after activating.
