QuickEdit is an inline AI tool built into the contract editor. Select any text — a single sentence, a full clause, or an entire section — and an action bubble appears with six AI-powered actions. Each action processes the selected text and returns a result directly in the editor, so you never have to leave the page or copy text into a separate tool.
How to use QuickEdit
Select text in the editor
Click and drag to highlight any portion of the contract. You can select as little as a single clause or as much as an entire section. The QuickEdit action bubble appears near your selection.
Choose an action
Click one of the six actions in the bubble. The AI processes your selection and returns the result. For actions that modify text (Rewrite, Improve, Add clause), you will see a preview of the changes before accepting them.
Accept or dismiss
Review the AI output. Click Accept to apply the changes to your contract, or Dismiss to discard them and keep the original text. Explanations and risk-check results appear in a popover that you can close when done.
Available actions

| Risk-check | Analyzes the selected clause for potential risks, one-sided terms, ambiguous language, or missing protections. Returns a list of specific concerns with explanations. |
| Improve | Strengthens the selected language by making it more precise, enforceable, or comprehensive. The AI tightens wording and fills gaps without changing the intent. |
| Add clause | Generates a new related clause and inserts it after the selected text. For example, selecting a confidentiality clause might suggest adding a non-solicitation clause. |
| Save to library | Saves the selected text to your clause library for reuse in future contracts. You can tag and categorize saved clauses. |
Risk-check is especially useful when reviewing contracts you received from the other party. Select their liability limitation, indemnification, or termination clauses to quickly identify terms that may not be in your favor.
Tips for effective use
For the best results, select complete clauses rather than sentence fragments. The AI uses the surrounding context of your selection to produce more relevant output. You can run multiple actions on the same selection — for example, run Risk-check first to identify concerns, then use Rewrite to address them. All QuickEdit changes are tracked in version history, so you can always revert if an edit does not work out.
