Inviting Members

Add team members to your shared workspace.

Sending invitations

Only workspace Owners can invite new members. To add someone to your shared workspace:

Open workspace settings

Click the workspace name in the top-left of the sidebar, then select Workspace Settings.

Go to the Members tab

The Members tab shows all current members and pending invitations.

Enter their email address

Type the email address of the person you want to invite and click Send Invite. They will receive an email with a link to join the workspace.

They accept the invitation

The invited person clicks the link in their email, creates a QuickContract account if they do not already have one, and is added to the workspace. Their app begins syncing shared data immediately.

Seat allocation

Each team member occupies one seat on your Team plan at $5/seat/month. Your billing is updated automatically when members join or leave. You can see your current seat count and monthly cost in Workspace Settings > Billing.

Each member needs QuickContract installed

Team members need to download and install QuickContract on their own Mac. Each member also configures their own AI provider API key — keys are not shared between team members. This means each person controls their own AI costs independently.

Managing existing members

From the Members tab, workspace Owners can:

  • Change roles — promote a Member to Owner, or demote an Owner to Member
  • Remove members — remove someone from the workspace. Their access to shared data is revoked immediately, and the seat is freed on your next billing cycle.
  • Resend invitations — if an invitation email was lost or expired, resend it from the pending invitations list
  • Cancel pending invitations — revoke an invitation before it is accepted

What happens when a member is removed

When you remove a member from a shared workspace, they lose access to all shared data immediately. Contracts they created within the workspace remain in the workspace — they are not deleted or transferred to the member's personal workspace. The removed member retains their personal workspace and any data stored there.

Removing the last Owner

A workspace must always have at least one Owner. If you are the only Owner, you must promote another member to Owner before you can leave or be removed from the workspace.
